Making way for his spirit

Praise God from whom all blessings flow,

The most amazing attribute about God is that he does according to his own will. Today’s thought will come from the book of Judges chapter 1.

As we continue we want to look at Moses and Joshua – Moses led by the spirit Joshua led by the spirit – yet in Judges chapter 1 the people ask, who will lead us? Thus our subject, ”making way for his spirit.”

Judges 1 King James Version (KJV)

1 Now after the death of Joshua it came to pass, that the children of Israel asked the Lord, saying, Who shall go up for us against the Canaanites first, to fight against them?

2 And the Lord said, Judah shall go up: behold, I have delivered the land into his hand.

3 And Judah said unto Simeon his brother, Come up with me into my lot, that we may fight against the Canaanites; and I likewise will go with thee into thy lot. So Simeon went with him.

4 And Judah went up; and the Lord delivered the Canaanites and the Perizzites into their hand: and they slew of them in Bezek ten thousand men.

The Holy Spirit makes the difference

GOD in His infinite, wisdom, splendor, and glory saw for to establish His church as it pleased him. If we refer to Revelation 1:8 (KJV) The text allows us to understand God and his completeness.

Revelation 1:8

“I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the ending, saith the Lord, which is, and which was, and which is to come, the Almighty.”

  • The First
  • The Last
  • And that which is to come – the spirit of God found in the man Jesus. John 14:26

Gods word eternal

This is important

Daniel 2:45-47 (KJV)

45 Forasmuch as thou sawest that the stone was cut out of the mountain without hands, and that it brake in pieces the iron, the brass, the clay, the silver, and the gold; the great God hath made known to the king what shall come to pass hereafter: and the dream is certain, and the interpretation thereof sure.

46 ¶ Then the king Nebuchadnezzar fell upon his face, and worshipped Daniel, and commanded that they should offer an oblation and sweet odours unto him.

47 The king answered unto Daniel, and said, Of a truth, it is, that your God is a God of gods, and a Lord of kings, and a revealer of secrets, seeing thou couldest reveal this secret.

John 1:1-14 King James Version (KJV)

1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.

2 The same was in the beginning with God.

3 All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made.

4 In him was life; and the life was the light of men.

5 And the light shineth in darkness; and the darkness comprehended it not.

6 There was a man sent from God, whose name was John.

7 The same came for a witness, to bear witness of the Light, that all men through him might believe.

8 He was not that Light, but was sent to bear witness of that Light.

9 That was the true Light, which lighteth every man that cometh into the world.

10 He was in the world, and the world was made by him, and the world knew him not.

11 He came unto his own, and his own received him not.

12 But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name:

13 Which were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God.

14 And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth.

Hebrews 13:8 King James Version (KJV)

8 Jesus Christ the same yesterday, and today, and forever.

Psalms 90:2 (KJV)

Before the mountains were brought forth, or ever Thou hadst formed the earth and the world, even from everlasting to everlasting, Thou art God.

Gods planned promise of redemption can never be overthrown by satan. The word of God is eternal and stands outside the scope of time and was sealed by the blood of Jesus.

Only eternity can look into eternity and reveal Gods plan, promises, commandments, and his plan of protection found in the spirit. Thus when it came to who would open the book in Revelation 5:1-7 no earthly man, not angelic being, neither any creator under the earth had the presence of humanity within.

Please consider…

Hebrews 6:13:18 (KJV)

13 For when God made promise to Abraham, because He could swear by no greater, He swore by Himself, Abraham obedience introduces righteous based on believing in the promises of Gods word.

14 saying, “Surely in blessing I will bless thee, and in multiplying I will multiply thee.”

15 And so, after he had patiently endured, he obtained the promise.

16 For men verily swear by the greater, and an oath of confirmation is to them an end to all strife.

17 Thereby God, willing more abundantly to show unto the heirs of promise the immutability of His counsel, confirmed it by an oath,

18 that by two immutable things, in which it was impossible for God to lie, we, who have fled for refuge, might have strong consolation to lay hold upon the hope set before us.

First let us define the word immutable and then see how this would apply to ”one God.”

Immutable by definition…> ”unchanging over time or unable to be changed.”

1. Isaiah 55:11 King James Version (KJV)

11 So shall my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth: it shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it.

2. Romans 8:3 (KJV)

For what the law could not do, in that it was weak through the flesh, God sending his own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh, and for sin, condemned sin in the flesh

Malachi 3:6 King James Version (KJV)

6 For I am the Lord, I change not; therefore ye sons of Jacob are not consumed. (I highletd the word Jacob for a reason.)

When God spoke to Jacob concerning the family he is called Jacob, concerning the spiritual purpose of Redemption, he is called Isreal. Whether in Flesh or Spirit Gods word does not change.

Jesus as both man and God did not change and in complete deity can’t change

Now I understand Isaiah 34:16 and it’s importance

Numbers 23:19 King James Version (KJV)

19 God is not a man, that he should lie; neither the son of man, that he should repent: hath he said, and shall he not do it? or hath he spoken, and shall he not make it good?

Romans 8:3-4 King James Version (KJV)

3 For what the law could not do, in that it was weak through the flesh, God sending his own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh, and for sin, condemned sin in the flesh:

4 That the righteousness of the law might be fulfilled in us, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit.

If it’s the Lords will I will add to it in a few days.
