They knew Joseph Son, but they didn’t know Jesus

I was reading God’s word on my break, do you know life is centered in God’s word? Try to live without the truth could cause you to loose everything! “They knew Joseph Son, but they didn’t know Jesus”

The Bible unequivocally teaches that Jesus possessed the power to perform miracles. His miraculous abilities had been prophesied in the Old Testament (Isaiah 35:5-6), they astounded his disciples (Matthew 14:33), and confounded his enemies (John 11:47).

It’s really Puzzling that they focused on Him/Joseph Son not Him/being a healer – it would seem like the miracles would be enough to see God, but again they were determined to see Joseph Son –

Turn with me to Matthew 13:54-58 KJV

“54 And when he was come into his own country, he taught them in their synagogue, insomuch that they were astonished, and said, Whence hath this man this wisdom, and these mighty works?

55 Is not this the carpenter’s son? is not his mother called Mary? and his brethren, James, and Joses, and Simon, and Judas?

56 And his sisters, are they not all with us? Whence then hath this man all these things?

57 And they were offended in him. But Jesus said unto them, A prophet is not without honour, save in his own country, and in his own house.

58 And he did not many mighty works there because of their unbelief.”

Some of you may be on the battle field, God has called you to minister, lay hands on the sick, the more you sound the prophetic horn the more you are rejected and lowered to, “the carpenters Son – This same spirit exist today! Why, the text tells us that they were offended of the anointing in His life – Jesus never wanted them to see the carpenters Son, He wanted them to experience the mighty works of God –

Consider John 14:11-12 KJV

“8 Philip saith unto him, Lord, shew us the Father, and it sufficeth us.

9 Jesus saith unto him, Have I been so long time with you, and yet hast thou not known me, Philip? he that hath seen me hath seen the Father; and how sayest thou then, Shew us the Father?

10 Believest thou not that I am in the Father, and the Father in me? the words that I speak unto you I speak not of myself: but the Father that dwelleth in me, he doeth the works.

11 Believe me that I am in the Father, and the Father in me: or else believe me for the very works’ sake.

12 Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me, the works that I do shall he do also; and greater works than these shall he do; because I go unto my Father.

These individuals rejected the work of the spirit which was the proof that the Son was in the fathers and the father was in the son – They wanted to focus on who He was related to in the flesh!

You can be cursed by your own doubt!

Matthew 13:55-58 KJV

55 Is not this the carpenter’s son? is not his mother called Mary? and his brethren, James, and Joses, and Simon, and Judas?

56 And his sisters, are they not all with us? Whence then hath this man all these things?

57 And they were offended in him. But Jesus said unto them, A prophet is not without honour, save in his own country, and in his own house.

58 And he did not many mighty works there because of their unbelief.

There were many people there who needed to be healed – Jesus could not do will of the father because or two in the people’s ear saying,

“55 Is not this the carpenter’s son? is not his mother called Mary? and his brethren, James, and Joses, and Simon, and Judas?”

In Closing, Be careful who you share your time with God – they might be offended by the prophet, by the Apostle, by the Overseer, by the Pastor and when you are ready to come to Jesus, they start to kill your faith – “”55 Is not this the carpenter’s son? is not his mother called Mary? and his brethren, James, and Joses, and Simon, and Judas?”
