What is the Purpose?

Each year Sunday after Sunday thousands upon thousands will attend some type of religious church service. There is singing, praise and worship, giving of tithes and offering and enjoying wonderful fellowship with our brothers and sisters in the Lord. Each week most dress themselves in the most amazing attire, signifying their love for God. One thing that is missing in this understanding is why? What is the purpose behind how we identify God. “What is the intent behind our actions, do we know the reason why, better yet the purpose for our actions toward God.”

One day while I was sitting in a church service the question came across my mind, “why am I here?” Considering only 40% of people in the world read their bibles, I wonder how many others have ask themselves this question.

I beleive in God, I believe in the power of his word. I truly beleive he is coming again, but one thing that had escaped me for years I now desired to know. “What is Gods Purpose for me?” Not my purpose, but his purpose for me?

I begin to ask different this question to many believe it or not, Most said “I don’t know.” Others replied, I come to church hear the word of God and have a better life, others stated to be increase in faith, a few responded to (pay) my tithes and offering so I can be blessed. No one really gave me the answer I was searching for.

It was 7 years ago that God Calle me through his word and begin to reveal himself to me. I was not until God calls me to teach his GOSPLE and lead his people that I begin to understand. Watch this, “his Purpose removed everything from my life so that I could be used by him and know one else.”

Here’s my example. We have all heard of the story of Moses. Lets examine the life of Moses based on his “timeline” of 3-40’s. He spent 40 years in Egypt learning their manners and customs. After God had completed the work in him there. He removes Moses to himself. God use the crime murder to get Moses to himself. God sends him into the wilderness for another (40) forty years, the second (40) forty.

The second forty is used to remove everything from his life as and Egyptians “A type of the world.” Remember Moses received the best Education in Egypt. The Egyptians created what we know in math as the system algebra. They were versed in agriculture and the system of irrigation, Egypt was the place known as the “Fertile Crescent.” They were educated and rich, God could not use man’s purpose of understanding in his purpose of redemption. Those things don’t matter. The Egyptians were and amazing culture of people who were identified through their dress. Moses would be sent back in a Robe and sandals. In God’s purpose he no longer looks as and Egyptian but as God purpose, he is God’s man. (How many of us not knowing God’s purpose desire to be identified with everything except God?)

Watch this, Gods Purpose does not call for mans understanding or mans wealth just simply mans obedience. In that wilderness for the second (40) years Moses is completely stripped of his identity, he does not even know who he is and loses his Ability to speak. He tells God, “For I can not speak.” The Purpose had a plan, Aaron was in Gods mind. I have called your brother Aaron he will speak what ever I say to you and him.

That brings us to the (3rd) third 40 years. Moses now back in Egypt, God would now use the one the people identified as a leader, the one who led the Egyptians in their worship of their idol Gods. God can now use Moses to show forth his purpose and power to his people by showing if I could change Moses the Egyptian, I can change you.

The Bible in Romans chapter 8 verse 28 it says, “And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.”

His purpose is to use our lives as his testimony to the world. His offering salvation through the preaching of the gospel. This intern becomes a blessing to those who believe in the name of Jesus are redeemed from the curse of sin.

The purpose of God is to offer the place of paradise to all those willing to become children of God through the offering of obedience of God’s word. Revelation 22: verses 1-5.
