What were those things that Christ learned through suffer?

The pandemic has not stopped the word of God – tell someone

I wouldn’t trade spiritual understanding for anything –

I can recall while at, ” Ministerial Institute for Learning out of Inglewood, CA. Bishop Johnny Young and amazing teacher an great Pastor in his own right. I remember writing a paper on the Apostle Paul in which we had to present our findings about his life – our teacher at that time, Pastor Charles – he didn’t play when it came to the word of God – during the body of my paper I said, “Paul is tell us to forget those things behind us.” Pastor Charles stopped me in the middle of my read and said, “Minister Johnson, what things.” I learned a great lesson that day. Where the word of God presents the elements of things not described, the reading has the obligation to spiritually research to give complete understanding to the authors thought/thoughts –

In this blog we want to explore those things that Jesus suffered which caused His obedience! Before we continue I want to address satan and his lack of authority!

At no time did satan cause Christ to suffer!

John 19:11 NIV

“11 Jesus answered, “You would have no power over me if it were not given to you from above. Therefore the one who handed me over to you is guilty of a greater sin.”

There are two corresponding events that support John 19:11 NIV

Revelations 12:5 KJV I did not want to bring this for yet but we must –

“5 And she brought forth a man child, who was to rule all nations with a rod of iron: and her child was caught up unto God, and to his throne.”

  • God protected the child until He anointed Him as a man coming out of the water – for another time – defeats satan #1
  • Genesis 3:15 He is not child or man His is seed the word! Satan has no understanding of Gods word only that he was and is defeated –

“15 And I will put enmity between thee and the woman, and between thy seed and her seed; it shall bruise thy head, and thou shalt bruise his heel.” Defeats satan #2 – the third time is the cross!

This affirms that satan had nothing to do with Christ suffering or learning obedience-

Let’s look at Hebrews 5 KJV

Hebrews 5

6 As he saith also in another place, Thou art a priest for ever after the order of Melchisedec.

AT ANOTHER TIME👆🏾

7 Who in the days of his flesh, when he had offered up prayers and supplications with strong crying and tears unto him that was able to save him from death, and was heard in that he feared;

8 Though he were a Son, yet learned he obedience by the things which he suffered;

What were those thing He suffered – everything written that He would be God’s offering for sin

EXAMPLES

Isaiah 53:7-11 KJV

7 He was oppressed, and he was afflicted, yet he opened not his mouth: he is brought as a lamb to the slaughter, and as a sheep before her shearers is dumb, so he openeth not his mouth.

8 He was taken from prison and from judgment: and who shall declare his generation? for he was cut off out of the land of the living: for the transgression of my people was he stricken.

9 And he made his grave with the wicked, and with the rich in his death; because he had done no violence, neither was any deceit in his mouth.

10 Yet it pleased the LORD to bruise him; he hath put him to grief: when thou shalt make his soul an offering for sin, he shall see his seed, he shall prolong his days, and the pleasure of the LORD shall prosper in his hand.

11 He shall see of the travail of his soul, and shall be satisfied: by his knowledge shall my righteous servant justify many; for he shall bear their iniquities.

Reference Mathew 26:36-43

36 Then cometh Jesus with them unto a place called Gethsemane, and saith unto the disciples, Sit ye here, while I go and pray yonder.

37 And he took with him Peter and the two sons of Zebedee, and began to be sorrowful and very heavy.

38 Then saith he unto them, My soul is exceeding sorrowful, even unto death: tarry ye here, and watch with me.

39 And he went a little further, and fell on his face, and prayed, saying, O my Father, if it be possible, let this cup pass from me: nevertheless not as I will, but as thou wilt.

40 And he cometh unto the disciples, and findeth them asleep, and saith unto Peter, What, could ye not watch with me one hour?

41 Watch and pray, that ye enter not into temptation: the spirit indeed is willing, but the flesh is weak.

42 He went away again the second time, and prayed, saying, O my Father, if this cup may not pass away from me, except I drink it, thy will be done.

43 And he came and found them asleep again: for their eyes were heavy.

44 And he left them, and went away again, and prayed the third time, saying the same words.

45 Then cometh he to his disciples, and saith unto them, Sleep on now, and take your rest: behold, the hour is at hand, and the Son of man is betrayed into the hands of sinners.

9 And being made perfect, he became the author of eternal salvation unto all them that obey him;

10 Called of God an high priest after the order of Melchisedec.

11 Of whom we have many things to say, and hard to be uttered, seeing ye are dull of hearing.

How do we know He learned obedience from these things?

There are so many more –

Therefore, Hebrews 12:2 KJV

2 Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God.
