The Heart of God

Pursuing the heart of God is not based on how well one can exegete or interpret the Holy scripture. In today’s society “Google” has become the new commentary. I was taught to lay before God and to worship His love/word. In doing this the spirit reveals what Gods people are in need of and not what I desire to deliver. “The Heart of God.”

Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new. (2 Corinthians 5:17)

The man Jesus Christ returned back to Gods purpose. Thus if any man be in the heart of God, His word he is found to be a new creation. Spirit because the physical man received a new body and we too one day will be as he is.

Living in God’s heart is living in His love. Jesus says, “As the Father loved Me, I also have loved you; abide in My love. If you keep My commandments, you will abide in My love, just as I have kept My Father’s commandments and abide in His love. These things I have spoken to you, that My joy may remain in you, and that your joy may be full.” (John 15:9-11) We live and remain in God’s love by following the commands that Jesus gives us. All of God’s commands have to do with love, loving God and loving others. Gods heart

Today’s blog will come from one scripture,

2 Peter chapter 1 (NKJV)

“18 We ourselves heard this voice that came from heaven when we were with him on the sacred mountain.

Verse 18 is mind blowing – the three points hit home on the qualifications of the preacher. “I’m done.”

19 We also have the prophetic message as something completely reliable, and you will do well to pay attention to it, as to a light shining in a dark place, until the day dawns and the morning star rises in your hearts.

20 Above all, you must understand that no prophecy of Scripture came about by the prophet’s own interpretation of things.

21 For prophecy never had its origin in the human will, but prophets, though human, spoke from God as they were carried along by the Holy Spirit.”

At the heart of Gods word is his spirit that directs teachers, preachers into prophetic understanding.

Ephesians 4:11-16 King James Version (KJV)

11 And he gave some, apostles; and some, prophets; and some, evangelists; and some, pastors and teachers;

12 For the perfecting of the saints, for the work of the ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ:

13 Till we all come in the unity of the faith, and of the knowledge of the Son of God, unto a perfect man, unto the measure of the stature of the fulness of Christ:

14 That we henceforth be no more children, tossed to and fro, and carried about with every wind of doctrine, by the sleight of men, and cunning craftiness, whereby they lie in wait to deceive;

The above text is critical – Everyone is not called to the same office. “I didn’t say it, the word did.”

15 But speaking the truth in love, may grow up into him in all things, which is the head, even Christ:

16 From whom the whole body fitly joined together and compacted by that which every joint supplieth, according to the effectual working in the measure of every part, maketh increase of the body unto the edifying of itself in love.

Being in a relationship where the heart is not sought is a dangerous thing, hears why.

You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart. — Jeremiah 29:13″

Notice that God states those who seek me with all of their heart will find Him. To pursue God in His word.

Isaiah 34:16 King James Version (KJV)

16 Seek ye out of the book of the Lord, and read: no one of these shall fail, none shall want her mate: for my mouth it hath commanded, and his spirit it hath gathered them.

Very few are truly hungry and thirsty for God. Although most of us quote, “Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness for they shall be filled,” many have never truly experienced it. Paul said that he wants to know Christ in the power of His resurrection and in the fellowship of His suffering.

It is a proven fact that only 40% of the people in the world read their Bibles yet half the world of Christians have a title.

(Philippians 3:10). King David cried out, “One thing I have asked from the Lord, that I shall seek: That I may dwell in the house of the Lord all the days of my life” (Psalm 27:4).

Hungering and thirsting for God/His heart/His word is an all-consuming passion that drives every aspect of life.

How thirsty are you?

Psalm 42 King James Version (KJV)

42 As the hart panteth after the water brooks, so panteth my soul after thee, O God.

2 My soul thirsteth for God, for the living God: when shall I come and appear before God?

3 My tears have been my meat day and night, while they continually say unto me, Where is thy God?

4 When I remember these things, I pour out my soul in me: for I had gone with the multitude, I went with them to the house of God, with the voice of joy and praise, with a multitude that kept holyday.”

As after a long drought the poor fainting hind longs for the streams, or rather as the hunted hart instinctively seeks after the river to lave its smoking flanks and to escape the dogs, even so my weary, soul pants after the Lord my God.

As the hart brays so his soul prays. Give him his God and he is as content as the poor deer which at length slakes its thirst and is perfectly happy; but deny him his Lord, and his heart heaves, his bosom palpitates, his whole frame is convulsed, like one who gasps for breath, or pants with long running and rite one desire of fulfillment of thirst, Gods word His heart.

Jeremiah 29:13 (KJV)

And ye shall seek me, and find me, when ye shall search for me with all your heart.”

Therefore, the heart of God can only be found in the revealed word of God. The glorious church is founded on the principles found only in the word of God, His heart beat. “one band one sound.”

We love you – John chapter 3. If you have not been born a new. Find a church home that can walk you through the new birth.

He that has an ear let him heart what the heart has to say to the church. God word is the source of life, always go to the source. For He, God is the truth.

Satan desires one thing, to pull you heart away from God.
