God’s promises are something He always keeps. It’s in the Bible, Psalm 89:34. “No, I will not break my covenant; I will not take back one word of what I said.” The last Blog was “God’s promise of eternity.” Today’s blog is God’s promise of forgiveness.
The best part of love is forgiveness! It’s not what others do to you, it’s what you do in return.
Isaiah 53:3-5 KJV
“3 He is despised and rejected of men; a man of sorrows, and acquainted with grief: and we hid as it were our faces from him; he was despised, and we esteemed him not.
4 Surely he hath borne our griefs, and carried our sorrows: yet we did esteem him stricken, smitten of God, and afflicted.
5 But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed.”

Col. 1:12-13 “Giving thanks unto the Father, which hath made us meet to be partakers of the inheritance of the saints in Light: Who hath delivered us from the power of darkness, and hath translated us into the Kingdom of His Dear Son.”
The promises of God are yes and amen. It’s in the Bible, 2 Corinthians 1:20. “For all the promises of God in Him are Yes, and in Him Amen, to the glory of God through us.”
God promises a new heart and forgiveness
John 3:16 “For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish, but have Everlasting Life.”
Rom. 5:8,10 “But God commendeth His Love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us… For if, when we were enemies, we were reconciled to God by the death of His Son, much more, being reconciled, we shall be saved by His Life.”
The word of God is our light in this dark world. It is the truth of God’s righteousness given to a people who did not deserve freedom but God’s love through the body of His Son set us free from sin and death.
God has promised us new hearts and desires. It’s in the Bible, Ezekiel 36:26. “I will give you a new heart and put a new spirit within you; I will take the heart of stone out of your flesh and give you a heart of flesh.”
God has promised forgiveness. It’s in the Bible, 1 John 1:9. “If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.”
God promises our sins will be far removed from us. It’s in the Bible, Psalm 103:12. “As far as the east is from the west, so far has He removed our transgressions from us.”
We are promised that our sins will be buried. It’s in the Bible, Micah 7:19. “He will again have compassion on us, and will subdue our iniquities. You will cast all our sins into the depths of the sea.”
“Whereby are given unto us Exceeding Great And Precious Promises:
that by These ye might be partakers of the Divine Nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust.
And beside this, giving all diligence, add to your faith virtue; and to virtue knowledge;
And to knowledge temperance; and to temperance patience; and to patience Godliness; And to Godliness brotherly kindness; and to brotherly kindness charity.
For if these things be in you, and abound,
They make you that ye shall neither be barren nor unfruitful in the Knowledge of our LORD Jesus Christ.”
2 Peter 1:4-8
Therefore, You can’t live the Christian life in your own strength. You need God’s help, which is why He has given His Holy Spirit to you. Gods word is the power of God to keep you if you desire to be kept. His love and forgiveness is the greatest aspect of love. In you can place He face of himself on the cross to forgive that which he had never done nor was found guilty because he loved you. “God’s promises of forgiveness.”
