Meeting God’s condition

I got exited when discussing the subject of God’s timing for our lives. To everything there is a season Ecclesiasticus states. I love this subject because the favor and the promises of God are sure – it must be known that to every promise of God there is a condition! Yes God died for our freedom from sin, but one still must qualify for the benefits of God – “Be prepared for your season” Simple but simple subject.

God’s promises or favor is only based on one thing, obedience to the word of God – nowhere have I read to where you have to give physically to receive –

Allow us to define spiritual obedience…> “In our daily life, we know that obedience is a very essential habit one should abide to in our homes, workplaces and in the communities in which we live. In simple terms, obedience is compliance with an order, request, law or submission to another’s authority. The bible also talks a lot about obedience as it is seen in many scriptures.”

However, Jesus condemns hypocrisy in the act of obedience to the law. Speaking to the Pharisees, he said that despite of our deeds, without Christ, even our best and most righteous works are as “filthy rags”.

“Woe to you, teachers of the law and Pharisees, you hypocrites! You are like whitewashed tombs, which look beautiful on the outside but on the inside are full of the bones of the dead and everything unclean. 28 In the same way, on the outside you appear to people as righteous but on the inside you are full of hypocrisy and wickedness.”

As Christians, we are asked to obey the law of Christ which is the law of love as it is seen in John 13:34. “A new command I give you: Love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another”

In Galatians 6:2, we learn that when we love God and obey him, we naturally have love for one another. “Carry each other’s burdens, and in this way you will fulfill the law of Christ”

Example – One of my favorite scriptures in the Bible The first Division of Job, Book number one (1) –

God gives the condition before the blessing, making sure the believer identifies with what is required to receive the promises and the favor flog God – “Feel free to add to this blog via the comment section – we are not and authority on the word of God.”

Psalms 1 KJV

[1] Blessed is the man that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor standeth in the way of sinners, nor sitteth in the seat of the scornful.

[2] But his delight is in the law of the LORD; and in his law doth he meditate day and night.

[3] And he shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that bringeth forth his fruit in his season; his leaf also shall not wither; and whatsoever he doeth shall prosper.

[4] The ungodly are not so: but are like the chaff which the wind driveth away.

[5] Therefore the ungodly shall not stand in the judgment, nor sinners in the congregation of the righteous.

[6] For the LORD knoweth the way of the righteous: but the way of the ungodly shall perish.

THE POINTS OF CONDITION –

Point 1. Blessed is the man that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly

A. In 1 Kings, chapter 12, young King Rehoboam needed wise counsel. Shortly after he became king, the people of Israel came to him asking that he lighten the hard service and heavy yoke that his father, Solomon, had placed on them. The elders who had served his father gave him the following advice: “If you will be a servant to this people today and will serve them and grant them their petition, and speak good words to them, then they will be your servants forever” (v. 7).

But Rehoboam also went to the young men who grew up with him and served him. They advised him to increase the people’s labor and taxes and assert his power over them. Foolishly, he forsook the recommendations of the elders and followed the young men’s advice to speak harshly to the people.

Rehoboam and the nation of Israel paid a high price because he listened to the wrong counselors. Although our wrong choices may not have such disastrous consequences as his did, we’d do well to learn from his folly by being very careful whom we choose for our counselors.

Point 2. nor standeth in the way of sinners

B. The phrases “stands in the path of sinners” means doing what sinners do, or standing where sinners stand, yet in the minds of many today, it carries the idea of being a hindrance to, blocking the way to, or being a stumbling block on the way to heaven.

Point 3. nor sitteth in the seat of the scornful

C. The Hebrew word for “scornful” in Psalm 1:1 is לוּץ, (lûts, loots), pronounced loots , which means “to make mouths, scoff, make mock, mocker, scornful and teacher.”

The desires are those desires that are of this age and not of the Father.

God revealed to me that right now there is a heightened attack of the enemy that is coming against the minds of the saints, trying to cause us to be doubtful in what we believe to be happening right now and believe to be true, in order to distract us!

God is waking the Bride up to these distractions so that we are not unequally yoked and not led astray and caught with those who are scornful and in deception.

These scorners are teaching false doctrines and leading many into error.  God then showed me confirmation on our delight being in the Word of the Lord God, and His Holy Scriptures, as we meditate on Who He is.

Point 4. To overcome points 1-3 here is the first condition

D. But his delight is in the law of the LORD; and in his law doth he meditate day and night

  • The word “meditation” in Hebrew means basically to speak or to mutter. When this is done in the heart it is called musing or meditation. So meditating on the Word of God day and night means to speak to yourself the Word of God day and night and to speak to yourself about it.

When all the conditions are we the believer walking into their season of promise – “All prophetic words from God carry a condition!

Here is the promise an favor revealed

  • Promise revealed –

A. And he shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that bringeth forth his fruit in his season; his leaf also shall not wither; and whatsoever he doeth shall prosper

B. For the LORD knoweth the way of the righteous: but the way of the ungodly shall perish.

Those who don’t meet the condition also have a reward!

[4] The ungodly are not so: but are like the chaff which the wind driveth away.

[5] Therefore the ungodly shall not stand in the judgment, nor sinners in the congregation of the righteous.

In Closing, God’s conditions are based on a choice –

If makes it a choice –

And if it seem evil unto you to serve the Lord, choose you this day whom ye will serve; whether the gods which your fathers served that were on the other side of the flood, or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land ye dwell: but as for me and my house, we will serve the Lord.

Revelation 22:12, NASB: “‘Behold, I am coming quickly, and My reward is with Me, to render to every man according to what he has done.”
