The Invisible Enemy Part 1

Hosea 4:6 King James Version (KJV)

6 My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge: because thou hast rejected knowledge, I will also reject thee, that thou shalt be no priest to me: seeing thou hast forgotten the law of thy God, I will also forget thy children.

God has given me at this point to rewrite our spiritual perspective of “spiritual warfare.” As we stated in one of our Blogs last year the Old Covenant enemy could be seen everyone knew who they were and where they were. “The Invisible Enemy.”

Most believers don’t truly know the attack of the enemy and what it looks like. In our Blog we will use the character, “Goliath.”

Many are suffering within spiritual warfare only because the truth of warfare has not been revealed.

Hosea 4:6 King James Version (KJV)

6 My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge: because thou hast rejected knowledge, I will also reject thee, that thou shalt be no priest to me: seeing thou hast forgotten the law of thy God, I will also forget thy children.

Satan only attacks where there Gods word is a threat to his demonic plan.

This Blog will use several media references to support what warfare is and what is it not.

Spiritual by definition…> Spiritual is the adjective form of the word spirit, which comes from the Latin word for “breath,” and means the thing that animates life.

Warfare by definition…> 1 : military operations between enemies : hostilities, war also : an activity undertaken by a political unit (such as a nation) to weaken or destroy another economic warfare.

When we combine definitions we find Paul’s statement in Ephesians 6 to be correct.

Ephesians 6:10-24 King James Version (KJV)

10 Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might.

11 Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.

12 For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.

High places suggest in the spiritual realm – a place where the battle can not be seen with eye. It took me several months to understand the truth of spiritual warfare. Some things you have to experience to be a true witness.

To support the New Covenant enemy we must reference Isaiah chapter 11 once again. Jesus the example of how to fight in the spirit.

Isaiah 11 King James Version (KJV)

11 And there shall come forth a rod out of the stem of Jesse, and a Branch shall grow out of his roots:

2 And the spirit of the Lord shall rest upon him, the spirit of wisdom and understanding, the spirit of counsel and might, the spirit of knowledge and of the fear of the Lord;

3 And shall make him of quick understanding in the fear of the Lord: and he shall not judge after the sight of his eyes, neither reprove after the hearing of his ears:

4 But with righteousness shall he judge the poor, and reprove with equity for the meek of the earth: and he shall smite the earth: with the rod of his mouth, and with the breath of his lips shall he slay the wicked.

Point 1

  • The text confirms Isaiah 53:1 KJV No one could announce Jesus but the word. Thus the need for Samuel, Jesse, David and the root Jesus. He would be the opposite of Adam. He would be spirit, yet he was a man. Romans 8:3 KJV

Isaiah 11 King James Version (KJV)

11 And there shall come forth a rod out of the stem of Jesse, and a Branch shall grow out of his roots:

2 And the spirit of the Lord shall rest upon him, the spirit of wisdom and understanding, the spirit of counsel and might, the spirit of knowledge and of the fear of the Lord;

Point 2

  • Verse two says the spirit shall rest upon him. In Ephesians 6:10 KJV – it starts the new though with, finally my brother be strong in the Lord and in the power of His might/word. Jesus was full of the Holy Spirit – Revelations 5:6 KJV.

Revelation 5:6 King James Version (KJV)

6 And I beheld, and, lo, in the midst of the throne and of the four beasts, and in the midst of the elders, stood a Lamb as it had been slain, having seven horns and seven eyes, which are the seven Spirits of God sent forth into all the earth.

Revelations 5 supports and confirms verse two (2). Jesus came the word of God came in the spirit of God. John 14:26 KJV

Point 3

  • In verse 3 in regards to Jesus we are given of God preparing Jesus in which spiritual warfare can s given and understood.
  • Jesus would be different from Abraham who led the first night raide to save Lot from the hand of the enemy.

And shall make him of quick understanding in the fear of the Lord: and he shall not judge after the sight of his eyes, neither reprove after the hearing of his ears:

Everything that Jesus would do would be in the spirit. All warfare than takes place in the battle field of the mind.

There are three (3) places the enemy desires to and attack. In the book of Job we see that Satan must get permission to attack the believers. There is no power given except it be given from above.

You are not crazy you are in warfare.”

1 Peter 5:8 King James Version (KJV)

8 Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour

Place number 1

  • The Mind – he wants the believers mind because this is the place where we serve the law of Gods word. This is the place where divine revelations given to edify the body of Christ. Let this mind be in you which was also in Christ Jesus;
  • The heart – he desires your heart being Parallel with the mind the issues of life flow from your heart. This is the place of emotions. These emotions govern the mind of the believer. These emotions, sadness, happiness, conviction, guilt, fear, how one feels or reacts to situations. Guard your heart from it flow the issues of life.
  • The mouth – as you are experiencing all three are in harmony. Emotions will cause the mouth to speak death or life. Proverbs 18:21 King James Version (KJV) 21 Death and life are in the power of the tongue: and they that love it shall eat the fruit thereof.

Want to call and example of this warfare using a character from the Old Covenant, one by the name of “Goliath.” As you will see Goliath in physical used all three (3) against Saul and the army of Israel.

In today’s terms Goliath would be know as a narcissist who uses, manipulation through something called “gaslighting.” The entire intent is to gain control over the advisory who he felt was weaker than himself. To make sure of victory he only had to convince them of their weakness mentally, have their emotions support their mental weakness, thus the mouth would confess, We can not win.”

Spiritual warfare is no joke it is real!

Saul and the Israelites are facing the Philistines in the Valley of Elah. Twice a day for 40 days, morning and evening, Goliath, the champion of the Philistines, comes out between the lines and challenges the Israelites to send out a champion of their own to decide the outcome in single combat, but Saul is afraid, (The Heart his emotions) Sauls mind had been Infiltrated with doubt of his own abilities by Goliath coming out twice a day and shouting across the valley and Saul and his army.

Here’s where Saul went wrong, what most do today. For 40 days they stay in the present of Goliaths words of discouragement. All they had to do was remove themselves until it was time for battle. Goliath was able to manipulate the minds of Saul and his army because they did not remove themselves from the verbal attack.

What Saul did not know, Goliath a Narcissist in which they do was wondering can I really beat them? He was afraid of not knowing the outcome thus he turned to manipulation.

Goliath needed to cause separation with in Sauls army. How would he do this. Send out your greatest warrior. The purpose of and independent battle is to convince the rest of the army of Goliaths truth as a warrior.

Which leads to the leader becoming fearful and a emotional reck.

Because Sauls Heart was messy red with fear, his emotions caused the army to be afraid now the mouth will speak what Goliath manipulation through gaslighting for 40 days.

Sauls words to David…

1 Samuel 17:33 (KJV)

And Saul said to David, Thou art not able to go against this Philistine to fight with him: for thou art but a youth, and he a man of war from his youth.”

Part 2 I will explain how and why Goliath was a narcissist, and what is meant by “Gaslighting” and how this form of manipulation is used to control ones mind, emotions, causing the mouth to confess the narcissist desire.

The goal is not to hurt or embarrass the narcissist, the goal is to free your mind.

David shows what happens when the mind is free and centered on God. He immediately proclaims I come in the name of the Lord. He past experiences remind him how faithful God is in times of trouble. There came a Lion that he Concord then a bear to where God have him victory. It’s with the mind that we serve the law of God.

Also in part 2 using David as and example of how to overcome the enemy.

I’ve prepared a video going into part 2

“The essence of gaslighting is that someone denies your reality and substitutes his own.”
