Reveal by the Holy Spirit

Written by,

Robert Johnson

We often hear the Biblical quote that states Gods word is not given to private interpretation in which I agree. 1 Peter 1:20 – “knowing this first: that no prophecy of the Scripture is of any private interpretation.”

Private suggest the human wisdom of understanding can not writerly divined Gods word. The interpretation of Gods word is only revealed by his spirit. There is no theological advantage given to anyone, only those God chooses to reveal himself too.

For this Blog we will use the prose about Job from the poetic perspective – revealed by the Holy Spirit. From the academic perspective Job is a prose or poem that Deals with human Pain and suffering- showing how God can turn this situation around and restore all that this one man has lost.

“Isaiah 28:9-11 King James Version (KJV)” Part I

9 Whom shall he teach knowledge? and whom shall he make to understand doctrine? them that are weaned from the milk, and drawn from the breasts.

10 For precept must be upon precept, precept upon precept; line upon line, line upon line; here a little, and there a little:

11 For with stammering lips and another tongue will he speak to this people.

Even in the Book of Job there must be realities to Gods plan of redemption through his Son “Jesus Christ.”

It reveals Gods plan of redemption which would come through God’s word, tyke man Jesus Christ.

The Book of Job is an epic poem, an allegory, to show the grand elements in human nature, enabling mortals to rise superior to all trials and temptations, to the humiliations of the spirit, and to prolonged suffering in the flesh.

As we teach Gods word it is critical that we understand that Jesus must be found in all aspects of Gods word. The central of the Bible is, “restoration or redemption back to God through the blood of Jesus Christ.”

John 5:39 (KJV)

“39 Search the scriptures; for in them ye think ye have eternal life: and they are they which testify of me.”

Without this truth it is easy to stop at Jobs pain and suffering along with the physical understanding of receiving back all that he lost in a double portion.

As we do what Isaiah 34:16 (KJV) instructs that we find Jobs double portion, the second half of Jobs blessing was spiritual and was not physical like the first.

In finding the mate for John 5:39 we go back to Isaiah 34:16 – the prophetic promise of Gods spirit which reveals Gods plan of redemption to those who have the spirit of God.

Isaiah 34:16 (KJV)

16 Seek ye out of the book of the LORD, and read: no one of these shall fail, none shall want her mate: for my mouth it hath commanded, and his spirit it hath gathered them.

Let’s seek the Book or poetic book of Job for Jesus Christ. First we must understand a poem must be read in completion to find its value. The most amazing puzzle is only amazing when it is complete and reveals its stunning image.

Job chapter 1 (KJV) – character identification is important. Most Minister from chapter 1 never considering the entire poem.

“1 There was a man in the land of Uz, whose name was Job; and that man was perfect and upright, and one that feared God, and eschewed evil.

When I read verse the first couple of times I did not catch what was being said.

Matthew 19:17 King James Version (KJV)

17 And he said unto him, Why callest thou me good? there is none good but one, that is, God: but if thou wilt enter into life, keep the commandments.

Another word for (perfect is righteous which comes from the word good.) Matthews states there is only one righteous – the man Jesus Christ who came as God’s word in human flesh – thus Jesus as the word of God was righteous. The is no physical man outside Jesus who can be perfect.

Thus the Author here denotes Job to be religious in character. Consider God has not spoken or been heard in the beginning of this prose.

Point 2 – God calls those who are connected to this world without revelation of his Son (Man) its all throughout his word. His children are called, servants, Sons, and handmaidens, all that relate to Gods spirit and purpose of redemption. Example Joel 2:29 I will pour out my spirit upon thy servants and handmaidens.

2 And there were born unto him seven sons and three daughters.

3 His substance also was seven thousand sheep, and three thousand camels, and five hundred yoke of oxen, and five hundred she asses, and a very great household; so that this man was the greatest of all the men of the east.

Point 3 – There is still no mention of God – the author writes more about his earthly possessions than a relationship with God.

4 And his sons went and feasted in their houses, every one his day; and sent and called for their three sisters to eat and to drink with them.

5 And it was so, when the days of their feasting were gone about, that Job sent and sanctified them, and rose up early in the morning, and offered burnt offerings according to the number of them all: for Job said, It may be that my sons have sinned, and cursed God in their hearts. Thus did Job continually.”

Point 4 – No where in the first chapter does it say Job was a Priest yet he is offering sacrifice for his children.

This reminds me of Saul when Samuel told him to wait until he returned to go before God in offering.

In 1 Samuel 13, Saul and his army were waiting for Samuel to arrive to offer a sacrifice before going to war. Samuel had not yet come, and the soldiers were preparing to flee rather than fight the Philistines. Growing impatient, Saul chose to offer a sacrifice on his own.

Just as Saul finished the sacrifice, Samuel arrived and said, “You have done a foolish thing. . . . You have not kept the command the LORD your God gave you” (1 Samuel 13:13). Why was offering a sacrifice foolish? Because Saul had disobeyed a direct command from the prophet Samuel given in 1 Samuel 10:8

Job was without understanding of God’s plan of redemption

In chapter 1 Job is doing the physical things religious without the true worship of God.

In Job 38 KJV – the spirit of God let’s Job know religion is not enough, you must have revelation of my will according to the spirit.

Job 38:2-7 New King James Version (NKJV)

2 “Who is this who darkens counsel By words without knowledge?

3 Now prepare yourself like a man;

I will question you, and you shall answer Me.

4 “Where were you when I laid the foundations of the earth?

Tell Me, if you have understanding.

5 Who determined its measurements?

Surely you know!

Or who stretched the [b]line upon it?

6 To what were its foundations fastened?

Or who laid its cornerstone,

7 When the morning stars sang together,

And all the sons of God shouted for joy?

Jesus the righteousness of God the perfected will of God in earth to restore man – how could Job be perfect?

He had no true knowledge of Gods will how could he, Job truly fear God. Jesus was God prophetic plan of restoration .

John 17:5 – “And now, O Father, glorify Thou Me with Thine own Self with the glory which I had with Thee before the world was.”

The author even connects Gods number of completion – Seven Son and Three daughters. Revelations 5:6 – the seven spirits of God sent forth into the world. Then he uses the number 3 the number of days in the grave.
