The Danger of being weak and wounded

One of the greatest aspects of life is known as, survival of the fittest. “Only the strong survive.” Herbivores, like deer and hare, feed on plants. Carnivores, like lions and wolves, eat meat. Omnivores, which include pigs, bears, and humans, eat both plants and animals. In an ecosystem, all the organisms that depend on one another in order to eat form a food chain. “Only the strongest survive.”

{Allow me to state this blog is not about evolution but rather about not being weak for the enemy.} There is a spiritual thought that we will pursue as we develop our thoughts.

Survival of the fittest” is a phrase that originated from Darwinian evolutionary theory as a way of describing the mechanism of natural selection. The biological concept of fitness is defined as reproductive success. In Darwinian terms the phrase is best understood as “Survival of the form that will leave the most copies of itself in successive generations.”

The weaker the animal the less likelihood they have to survive. The strong the animal there is a greater chance of surviving.

Wounded animals are easy prey and more likely to be overtaken by the predators.

In 2 Samuel 17 chapter – The counsel which at one time seemed to loyal to the king turned in favor to his Absalom, and the deceitful counsel of Ahithophel.

As long as David his mind was intact and he encouraged himself in the Lord, he was ok. But with all that is going on in the Kingdom and his house he is, “weak and wounded. It is at this point the enemy knows that this fight seemingly is about the survival of the fittest! Listen at the conversation between these two:

Samuel 17 The Message (MSG)

17 1-3 Next Ahithophel advised Absalom, “Let me handpick twelve thousand men and go after David tonight. I’ll come on him when he’s bone tired and take him by complete surprise. The whole army will run off and I’ll kill only David. Then I’ll bring the army back to you—a bride brought back to her husband! You’re only after one man, after all. Then everyone will be together in peace!”

When you have the heart of heaven and the one who sits on the throne the enemy can no catch you off guard. –

Now listen at – 5 But then Absalom said, “Call in Hushai the Arkite—let’s hear what he has to say.”

2 Samuel 17:6-10 KJV

6 So Hushai came and Absalom put it to him, “This is what Ahithophel advised. Should we do it? What do you say?”

7-10 Hushai said, “The counsel that Ahithophel has given in this instance is not good. You know your father and his men, brave and bitterly angry—like a bear robbed of her cubs. And your father is an experienced fighter; you can be sure he won’t be caught napping at a time like this. Even while we’re talking, he’s probably holed up in some cave or other. If he jumps your men from ambush, word will soon get back, ‘A slaughter of Absalom’s army!’ Even if your men are valiant with hearts of lions, they’ll fall apart at such news, for everyone in Israel knows the kind of fighting stuff your father’s made of, and also the men with him.

Just as there is a natural order to survival, please be assured there is a spiritual order as well. Listen at the question that God pose to the enemy. Our heart must be tied to the word of God – satan can bring fear

Job 1:6-7 KJV

6 Now there was a day when the sons of God came to present themselves before the LORD, and Satan came also among them.

7 And the LORD said unto Satan, Whence comest thou? Then Satan answered the LORD, and said, From going to and fro in the earth, and from walking up and down in it.

1 Peter 5:8 KJV

8 Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour

👆🏾Satan try’s to be at the top of the spiritual realm seeking to devour those weak in the word of God

Please consider –

Revelations 12:7-12 KJV

Above satan is Heaven – God the word the spirit of truth has defeated this enemy – as long as you abide in God/the word and the testimony of Jesus Christ the enemy might have wrath – but he don’t have you!

7 And there was war in heaven: Michael and his angels fought against the dragon; and the dragon fought and his angels,

8 And prevailed not; neither was their place found any more in heaven.

9 And the great dragon was cast out, that old serpent, called the Devil, and Satan, which deceiveth the whole world: he was cast out into the earth, and his angels were cast out with him.

10 And I heard a loud voice saying in heaven, Now is come salvation, and strength, and the kingdom of our God, and the power of his Christ: for the accuser of our brethren is cast down, which accused them before our God day and night.

11 And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb, and by the word of their testimony; and they loved not their lives unto the death.

12 Therefore rejoice, ye heavens, and ye that dwell in them. Woe to the inhabiters of the earth and of the sea! for the devil is come down unto you, having great wrath, because he knoweth that he hath but a short time.

Just like the natural order of things and how the ecosystem processes life, so does the spiritual Kingdom.

Allow me to explain – there is a spiritual ecosystem called “The Heaven’s and earth”

1 Corinthians 11:3 KJV

But I would have you know, that the head of every man is Christ; and the head of the woman is the man; and the head of Christ is God.”

Remember I stated as long as we live and are govern by the word of God and have on the armor of God – we can not become victim to the devil – he is not even mentioned in 1 Corinthians 11:3 KJV

Please consider – spiritual food/word chain –

  • God/heaven – the host
  • Jesus the word/spirit of God
  • Man/women – Family
  • The earth all part of the words process – remember heaven defeated the devil and kicked him to the earth
  • Satan has no power except it come from God – he’s at the bottom yet he’s a prince of nothing
  • The enemy has no power hear –

Job 1:8-10 KJV

8 And the Lord said unto Satan, Hast thou considered my servant Job, that there is none like him in the earth, a perfect and an upright man, one that feareth God, and escheweth evil?

Then Satan answered the Lord, and said, Doth Job fear God for nought?

10 Hast not thou made an hedge about him, and about his house, and about all that he hath on every side? thou hast blessed the work of his hands, and his substance is increased in the land.

Here’s the what we must consider – anyone not operating in the word – to the enemy are weak in their faith – and are easy prey – they are outside {the spiritual ecosystem of protection}

When our mind is centered in the word of God we are aware of the enemy and his devices and are not easy targets.

It’s only when we are not word based – bible centered that the enemy sees us exposed and goes on the attack. Remember we are not apart of this kingdom. This kingdom is a valley and we are only passing through, “the valley of the shadow of death.” Those in Christ have life and not death whereby everything outside of God is only a shadow!

No word = equals weak!

No word = equals the enemy

No word = equals death which is only suppose to be a shadow – satan is only a shadow to the believer.

1 Peter 5:8 KJV

8 Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour

Please watch this 1 minute video clip 🎥

We are only weak when our focus is not the word of God!

Consider the other deer at the top of video became aware of threat/enemy and became responsive to change, these two didn’t!

“The Danger of being weak and wounded”

The word can’t fail –

Isaiah 34:16 King James Version (KJV)

“16 Seek ye out of the book of the Lord, and read: no one of these shall fail, none shall want her mate: for my mouth it hath commanded, and his spirit it hath gathered them.”

Here’s how to change environments
