Seeing through the eyes of the word

Written by,

I’m so glad that I am able to take what the spirit reveals and measure it with the word of God. When it comes to God’s word it is not about popular opinion or who we like as a preacher. Paul dealt with this, now I understand why. I was wrong”

As leaders our trust in God’s word and it’s intent should be so strong that we are able to say, “I was wrong” when what’s popular opinion does not line up with what’s written. The call is a life long commitment, even if it means your life.

I find my self being line the Berean Christians who searches the word daily to find the witness of Jesus as a confirmation to what the Holy Spirit has spoken.

The word “Berean” was chosen to reflect the words in Acts 17, “These (Berea) were more noble than those in Thessalonica in that they received the word with all readiness of mind and searched the scriptures daily whether those things were so.”

Trust I know what it is to hear a preacher give great insight and be like, “I got to use that.” Here’s the issue, if it’s not used in the proper context found in God’s word based on his will it could be damaging to the hears.

Consider what the word of God stated –

Romans 15:4 King James Version (KJV)

4 For whatsoever things were written aforetime were written for our learning, that we through patience and comfort of the scriptures might have hope.

Everything in the word of God is to bring hope, even where there is correction.

Acts 20:32 King James Version (KJV)

32 And now, brethren, I commend you to God, and to the word of his grace, which is able to build you up, and to give you an inheritance among all them which are sanctified.

Even a rebuke the Bible declares as I paraphrase, is better than a secret love. Thus there is hope in a rebuke. “I was wrong”

Here’s and example of a specific text where I was wrong – “The story of David and His Son Absalom – witch was a type of the world. He is compared to the Jezebel spirit, if you look at the facts his spirit is one that she would desire. He was and adult but child like in nature – he was easy to be influenced.

For the last two weeks the ministry where I attend Bible services have been in the Lord book – specifically 2 Samuel chapters 16-19 KJV – “wow was I wrong.” Absalom was a victim to his own hurt, pain, and shame of a father who rejected his emotions.

Emotions by definition…> “noun

plural noun: emotions

1 a natural instinctive state of mind deriving from one’s circumstances, mood, or relationships with others.”

The enemy loves those who live in these defined above. Please consider the word of God to be living truth. “I was wrong”

Absalom because of his fathers infidelity, having a house of multiple sibling not knowing where I fit. Then we have his half brother to “rape his sister, Tamar.

After all of that he plans a feast in his fathers honor to get his attention and David the king never shows up. His emotions are all over the place.

This is the type of family that “Satan” desires, dysfunctional. As I Segway, this is why that spiritual molester Jezebel was able to run Ahab’s kingdom. He was more like her Son than a husband. Keep reading it’s coming.

Let’s look closely at what God was really doing with this father and emotional son.

So we expressed the part of the story the explains Absalom’s based on the “spirit of rejection”

Read with us –

Ok now we are at the point where the King is about to run from his Son who is suffering from, “depression.”

Please pay attention to the characters in God’s story – 2 Samuel chapter 15 KJV

10 But Absalom sent spies throughout all the tribes of Israel, saying, As soon as ye hear the sound of the trumpet, then ye shall say, Absalom reigneth in Hebron.

He has to fulfill what was written in 1 Samuel – here’s his first mistake – he sent for a man who already had a problem with the King. Ahithophel already had issues with David but he had not found a suitable measure that was close enough to attack David – walks in Absalom who in pain because.

  • My sister was raped my father did nothing
  • You treat my mother like a concubine not a wife
  • Because of you David our home is dysfunctional
  • I throw a party in honor of my father the king and he does not show up!

Ahithophel now has the means to kill David his own Son 😼

📖 back to the chapter 15

12 And Absalom sent for Ahithophel the Gilonite, {David’s counsellor}, from his city, even from Giloh, while he offered sacrifices. And the conspiracy was strong; for the people increased continually with Absalom.

Ahithophel – knew everything about the family –

13 And there came a messenger to David, saying, The hearts of the men of Israel are after Absalom.

14 And David said unto all his servants that were with him at Jerusalem, Arise, and let us flee; for we shall not else escape from Absalom: make speed to depart, lest he overtake us suddenly, and bring evil upon us, and smite the city with the edge of the sword – God is at work

15 And the king’s servants said unto the king, Behold, thy servants are ready to do whatsoever my lord the king shall appoint.

31 And one told David, saying, Ahithophel is among the conspirators with Absalom. And David said, O LORD, I pray thee, turn the counsel of Ahithophel into foolishness.

David knew because of Absalom was easy target and because Ahithophel was David’s counsel and Absalom would trust Ahithophel and do what ever his said.

2 Samuel 16:20-23 KJV

20 Then said Absalom to Ahithophel, Give counsel among you what we shall do.

21 And Ahithophel said unto Absalom, Go in unto thy father’s concubines, which he hath left to keep the house; and all Israel shall hear that thou art abhorred of thy father: then shall the hands of all that are with thee be strong.

22 So they spread Absalom a tent upon the top of the house; and Absalom went in unto his father’s concubines in the sight of all Israel.

23 And the counsel of Ahithophel, which he counselled in those days, was as if a man had enquired at the oracle of God: so was all the counsel of Ahithophel both with David and with Absalom.

Because of Absalom’s emotional discontent he is and easy target for satan – wait

Isaiah 53:5 New King James Version (NKJV)

“5 But He was wounded for our transgressions, He was bruised for our iniquities; The chastisement for our peace was upon Him, And by His stripes we are healed.

Him – He – His = Jesus in the spirit – thus Jesus provided everything the flesh could not.

We are getting there – Jezebel lived these type – she made them prophets/slaves of Belial.

God is not a noun or a pronoun He is a spirit that sent His Son to be in the flesh what His Love gives – healing.

Unfortunately it’s to lake – Absalom and His emotions has expose him to wanting to kill his own father – yet the spirit came from – Ahithophel

All of Absalom’s emotions and tantrums are just like a child – Ahithophel about to rare things up through Absalom’s pain.

Who was this man – or Achitophel. noun Old Testament. a member of David’s council, who became one of Absalom’s advisers in his rebellion and hanged himself when his advice was overruled (II Samuel 15:12–17:23)

In Biblical Names the meaning of the name Ahithophel is: Brother of ruin or folly.”

You can see the meaning of his name when in chapter 16 verse 22-21 KJV

21 “And Ahithophel said unto Absalom, Go in unto thy father’s concubines, which he hath left to keep the house; and all Israel shall hear that thou art abhorred of thy father: then shall the hands of all that are with thee be strong.

22 So they spread Absalom a tent upon the top of the house; and Absalom went in unto his father’s concubines in the sight of all Israel.

There a meaning which will come later

2 Samuel 17:1-4 KJV

It gets better Ahithopel is now giving orders instead of counsel – this happens when our emotions are given over to the enemy.

1 Moreover Ahithophel said unto Absalom, Let me now choose out twelve thousand men, and I will arise and pursue after David this night:

2 And I will come upon him while he is weary and weak handed, and will make him afraid: and all the people that are with him shall flee; and I will smite the king only:

3 And I will bring back all the people unto thee: the man whom thou seekest is as if all returned: so all the people shall be in peace.

4 And the saying pleased Absalom well, and all the elders of Israel.

Absalom’s heart is considering his fathers live at this point – but the enemies push because you exposed your worldly pain and hurt us deeply in bedded.

Watch what Absalom does this time – he calls David’s friend, Hushai. “I was wrong in how I taught the life of Absalom – he wanted his fathers love. {A true friend will tell your kids the truth even if it hurts.}

📖5 Then said Absalom, Call now Hushai the Archite also, and let us hear likewise what he saith.

6 And when Hushai was come to Absalom, Absalom spake unto him, saying, Ahithophel hath spoken after this manner: shall we do after his saying? if not; speak thou.

7 And Hushai said unto Absalom, The counsel that Ahithophel hath given is not good at this time.

{It’s ok to tell anyone I’m going through something let me go before God, mans wisdom and counsel is not good at this time.} There is safety in the multitude of counsel.

23 And when Ahithophel saw that his counsel was not followed, he saddled his ass, and arose, and gat him home to his house, to his city, and put his household in order, and hanged himself, and died, and was buried in the sepulchre of his father.

He was no longer in control of Absalom emotions. Being used by Satan is a dangerous thing.

Blood is suppose to be thicker than water, it is said. So what drove this man, David’s top advisor to manipulate the Kings Son to take his own fathers life.

Absalom followed Ahithophel’s advice, just as David had done. For every word Ahithophel spoke seemed as wise as though it had come directly from the mouth of God.”

Why would David’s most trusted advisor leave him for Absalom? Ahithophel had been David’s right-hand man for years! This just does not seem to make sense! In fact, Ahithophel appears to be more than a casual conspirator because he wants to personally kill David. Notice what is says in the following passage,

“Now Ahithophel urged Absalom, ‘Let me choose 12,000 men to start out after David tonight. I will catch up with him while he is weary and discouraged. He and his troops will panic, and everyone will run away. Then I will kill only the king, and I will bring all the people back to you as a bride returns to her husband.’” (2 Sam. 17:1-3)

What is going on? What was driving Ahithophel to pursue this desperate course of action? We do not know much about Ahithophel, but we do find a major clue in 2 Sam. 23:34. There we learn that he had a son named Eliam.

This observation is very significant because of what we learn in 2 Sam. 11:3,

“He (David) sent someone to find out who she was, and he was told, ‘She is Bathsheba, the daughter of Eliam and the wife of Uriah the Hittite.’”

Do you see what I see? Ahithophel is the grandfather of Bathsheba! The daughter of his son had a tragic end to her marriage because of David. Uriah, Bathsheba’s husband, was killed through the conniving plan of David in his desperate attempt to hide the fact that he was the father of the child that Bathsheba was carrying.

All David’s my trusted Servant needed was someone of David’s own house to be emotionally broken! {Ahithophel}

Therefore, the work of the cross frees us from all hurt, harm, pain and anything that cause us to take ungodly counsel. “Peter, get your emotions right, “The devil desires to sift you as wheat. But Peter I want you to know that I have prayed that your faith fail you not.

Stay tuned to Jezebel the nurture of the Absalom spirit and how she uses this weakness in men to her gain. “Ask Nabot.” Ahab had a child like spirit so the men of his kingdom, thus when Ahab was sick she called it a fast! He refused to eat. She knew the emotions of the men would follow the emotions of the King. It’s a reason she threaten the life of the “man” Prophet?
